I have always had an obsession with keeping up to date on the latest beauty trends and products. I have recently discovered a number of wonderful companies that will send beauty samples in the mail each month for a small monthly subscription. I am currently a subscriber to Birchbox and adore it! The subscription is $10 per month and after being on a wait-list for a month or so you will be invited to join. Then, you will be asked to fill out a beauty profile (the company does their best to cater to your personal beauty tastes and needs) and anxiously await your first box of pretty little things. Each month's box is designed around a particular theme. I was impressed with the packaging/samples/and customer service I was given. Also, a rewards program is offered with the subscription. Simply log into their website and fill out customer feed back on the products you received or refer a friend and start collecting points towards products. I look foward to my birchbox every month. I have recently signed up for the umba box and can't wait to recieve my first box. This program is slightly different because they choose an item or a sample of items from up and coming fair trade artists to share. It's very similar to Anthropologie's philosophy where the company seeks out fair trade and unique items and ideas for their stores and catalogs. This box is slightly more expensive at $25 per month. I will definitely have to be wowed to upgrade to an annual subscription and keep all the items for myself. Otherwise, I will probably end up saving my monthly boxes and stash them away as Christmas presents for dear friends and family.
